Ireland, September 4, 2005: The Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin

After an early morning ferry ride from Inishmore back to the mainland, I took a “big bus” day trip that took me (and 8,000 other people) around the Burren, to the Cliffs of Moher, and to Doolin. The tour made a full circle back to Galway (I think that’s where it started, if I remember right), but I used it as my mode of transportation to get my to my final destination, and got off in Doolin.

I have lots of pictures from September 4!! Note: Click on any picture to enlarge (somewhat).

Tiniest plane I ever flew in! (more memory lane)

This day five years ago was one of my absolute favorites on my trip to Ireland. I got up in the wee hours, hopped on the tiniest plane EVER (see picture) – as it was too small even for an aisle, we had to enter our seats from the outside, like a van – and made the eight-minute flight from the mainland to Inishmore, one of the Aran Islands. I LOVED Inishmore and can’t wait to go back!
